# Connect Redii to Claude or ChatGPT

> Ask your AI app about your Redii benefits. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client with read-only access.

You can connect Redii to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about your Redii account and company. Each person connects with their own Redii account and approves one company. The connection can only read. It cannot change data or read personal financial amounts.

Your company must allow Redii MCP before you can connect. If Redii shows **MCP isn’t enabled for an available company**, ask your company admin or [contact Redii support](/contact-support).

Redii tests Claude and ChatGPT. Use this server URL in every app:

```text theme={null}
https://mcp.redii.co/mcp
```

## Claude

### Claude on the web or desktop

<Card title="Add to Claude" icon="plus" href="https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=Redii&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fmcp.redii.co%2Fmcp">
  Opens Claude with the Redii connector filled in.
</Card>

1. Select **Add to Claude** above and sign in to Claude if asked.
2. Check that the name is **Redii** and the URL is the server URL. Select **Add**.
3. Select **Connect**.
4. Sign in to Redii, choose one company and select **Allow access**.

To add the connector without the button, open **Settings** > **Connectors** in Claude, select **Add custom connector** and paste the server URL:

```text theme={null}
https://mcp.redii.co/mcp
```

On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector for the organization first. Each person then connects with their own Redii account. Free plans allow one custom connector.

### Claude Code

Run this command in your terminal:

```bash theme={null}
claude mcp add --transport http redii https://mcp.redii.co/mcp
```

Then start Claude Code, run `/mcp`, select **redii** and sign in to Redii. Choose one company and select **Allow access**.

## ChatGPT

### ChatGPT on the web

1. In ChatGPT, open **Plugins**. Some workspaces show **Apps**.

2. Select **+**, then **Create custom MCP server**.

3. Name it **Redii** and paste the server URL:

   ```text theme={null}
   https://mcp.redii.co/mcp
   ```

4. Choose **OAuth**. You do not need a client ID or secret.

5. Sign in to Redii, choose one company and select **Allow access**.

6. Start a new chat and select Redii with `@`.

Availability differs by ChatGPT plan. On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, an admin can block custom MCP servers. If you cannot create one, ask your workspace admin.

### Codex CLI

Run these commands in your terminal:

```bash theme={null}
codex mcp add redii --url https://mcp.redii.co/mcp
codex mcp login redii
```

The second command opens Redii in your browser. Sign in, choose one company and select **Allow access**.

## Other MCP clients

Redii tests Claude and ChatGPT only. Other MCP clients, such as Cursor and VS Code, are untested and may work differently.

1. Add a remote MCP server that uses Streamable HTTP.

2. Paste the server URL:

   ```text theme={null}
   https://mcp.redii.co/mcp
   ```

3. Choose OAuth when the app asks.

4. Sign in to Redii, choose one company and select **Allow access**.

## What Redii can answer

Each person sees only what their Redii role allows. Redii shows the exact list before you select **Allow access**.

* **Your modules:** the Redii modules you are enrolled in, approved plan terms and usage guidance.
* **Company benefits:** if your role allows it, company benefit summaries and upcoming renewals.

## Change company, reconnect or disconnect

* **Change company:** one connection reads one company. Disconnect, then connect again from your AI app and choose the other company.
* **Reconnect:** if a connection expires or stops working, start a new connection from your AI app.
* **Disconnect:** in Redii, open **Settings** > **Account** > **My AI connections** and select **Disconnect**. The connection stops reading Redii immediately.
